Classroom Management Knowledge and Skills
Simply put, if teachers cannot effectively manage their classrooms, they will find it extraordinarily difficult to establish an environment where real learning takes place. Teachers must develop tactics both to stop misbehavior before it starts as well as to address it competently when it does arise. Furthermore, teachers must build meaningful connections with their students and create an atmosphere where students feel they can express themselves. A good class manager also uses class time and space effectively to make the most out of learning opportunities.
One of the first steps to managing a class is to begin to know the class. I used these surveys so that I could learn a little bit about my students and to show them that I actually cared about who they were as individuals.
